The Canadian government uses Express Entry, an online system, to process applications for skilled workers who want to move to Canada to obtain a permanent residency visa. Canada Express Entry is the quickest and most popular option for permanent residency. Around 110,000 skilled professionals enter Canada every year through the Canada immigration express entry system.

Express Entry program Canada is a two-stage process.   • Step 4: Check with IRCC to see if you have been invited to apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
  • Step 5: Submit your Application to the IRCC.
  • Step 6: Submit your biometrics, if required.
  • Step 7: Wait for the final decision.
The IRCC finalizes the applications in six months. If your Canada immigration visa application is approved, you will receive a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) and a permanent resident visa. After that, you are allowed to move to Canada.
To qualify for the express entry program in Canada, you must meet the following requirements:
  • You have worked full-time in a skilled occupation for at least one year in the past ten years.
  • Pass a minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) seven in either English or French on an authorized language test
  • An Education Credential Assessment evaluates completed post-secondary education against Canadian criteria.
